It might be one of my favorite movies, Holes, where the boys are sent off to a correctional facility in the desert, to dig holes, looking for a long lost treasure. This is one type of Hole, but not the kind we are going to discuss here. I do recommend the movie tho!

To be clear, these are holes that we choose to dig.... Here's another image of a hole we chose to dig:
Chino Copper Mine, Santa Rita NM
Before you start thinking that this is an environmental post, I ask you to bear with me, because it isn't. I'll connect the dots in just a minute here! :)

Then there are sinkholes, that are opening up at a rapid rate, in the Earth beneath our feet. The statistics tell us that in 2010, there were 11 new sinkholes, worldwide, compared to 2015 when 349 new ones opened up. They are increasing every year. Every time I hear about a new one, it leaves me pondering why this is happening. Mining and fracking have a lot to do with it, hence the above photo of the Copper Mine. This is an excellent video about this subject, that includes the statistics from above:

Continuing on with this subject, I thought of many types of holes in our world, from caves to the cliff dwellings of the Anasazi. I also thought about Mole, who lives in holes in the Earth, as well as other animals that dig holes in the Earth to live, or live in holes, such as Groundhog, Snake, and Wasp.

Snake has been coming up for a lot of us lately, and it is almost His time of the year, as He lives in the Direction of South, which is the Summer season. His energies are about transmutation, or transmuting what we are now, into who we came here to be. And that is happening to us all! Mole, on the other hand, is about feeling your way around in the "dark". He lacks sight, depending on His other senses to provide Him the info He needs to get around and find food. Mole is sometimes linked to psychic sight, and seeing Him can bring increased psychic awareness.

But back to holes.... Obviously, there are holes in our outer, or physical, world. The season of Snake is approaching, so we will be seeing more Snake holes, reminding us of how we are all working towards transmuting all that we are into the new. We might even be digging a few holes in the Earth ourselves, in which to place flowers, veggies, or even cactus.

It is said that the outer world is an outward manifestation of what is going on in our inner world, and with all of these holes in the ground appearing recently, we have to look at whether or not there are actually holes in our inner world....

A couple of blog posts ago, we discussed holes in the Aura created by trauma in childhood and beyond, and I also want to follow up on that here, and give you some tips on repairing them. But first, holes within us... which can also cause trauma to the Aura, and the Chakras.

The first type of hole within us that I want to discuss are the holes that we fill with our addictions. This may be overeating, or under eating, or binge eating. This may be holes that we fill with drugs, alcohol, and even cigarettes and caffeine. This type of hole within us can cause diabetes, when sugar is our addiction. And on and on it goes. What we have to ask ourselves is, what hole are we trying to fill, with whatever addiction we have, and why. And here we may have to dig deep to find the answers. It could be childhood trauma causing this, never feeling the love of a mother, a father, a family, can leave us not loving ourselves, and that is the hole we are looking to fill, the empty place in us that is wanting love.

It all comes back to the Heart Chakra, and that is one of the things that the current energies are emphasizing right now, self love. If we do not love ourselves, we can't truly believe in ourselves, and when we don't believe in what we are and what we are doing, we can't move forward, as the Universe is pushing us to do, we can't transmute all that we are into the new, as Snake is telling us.

I've been on a health kick lately after finding out that I have Candida. I have almost entirely cut out carbohydrates from my diet, which has left me eating much healthier. And you know what? I'm a lot less focused on food now. I think that we crave the deliciousness of a good meal because we don't have anything else going on in our lives that we enjoy. And maybe that's another question that we have to ask ourselves, are we doing things that we enjoy? Or are we replacing that with alcohol, drugs, or food? What do you want to do? Why aren't you doing it? Dig deep here, and expose your fears, so that you can, at least, be aware of them, for awareness of our issues assists us greatly in dealing with them. It's the first step.

I do understand that a lot of people may not like their lives at the moment. The daily grind, wake up, coffee, go to work, home, dinner, shower, sleep, wake up, coffee, go to work... it's a repetitive cycle, one that I quit many years ago. I knew that there had to be more to life than that, and I set out to find it. And I have. My point is, if I can, you can too. Find what it is that you love to do and start doing it, even if it's only for an hour in the evenings after work. Take that class, paint that picture, socialize more, and find ways to bring into your life the work that you have always wanted to do, and the fun that you have always wanted to have.

When we aren't able to express our passions, they eat at us, creating holes within. When we aren't able to express our anger, sadness, grief, dissatisfaction with our lives, etc., they, too, eat at us, creating holes within. Sooner or later, those holes have to be filled with something, and that can lead us to unhealthy patterns in our lives, which can lead to addictions, and bad health.

Sometimes, these patterns were started in childhood, where we were fed treats instead of love. When we were abused, physically, sexually, mentally, and even emotionally, this created holes in our Auras, as it traumatized us. Let's talk about those holes now, shall we?

One thing that happens when you have a hole in your Aura in childhood, caused by trauma, is that the Other Side is able to enter, waking you up psychically. This can also be dangerous, as dark entities can also enter. Remember the Exorcist? Drugs, or chemical drugs, I should say, can also cause holes in the Aura through which entities can enter. When we keep our vibrational level high, we don't have the dark entities entering so much as Guides, Angels, and Spirit Helpers, who come through to bring us information and messages. This can also happen in the dreamtime, and, depending on your vibrational level, you may see anything from dark entities, people dying in gory detail, or your Guides, Angels, and Spirit Helpers. This is not necessarily caused by holes in the Aura, and depends more on our vibrational level, however, if chemical drugs are involved, or if there has been deep trauma at any point in ones life that has not been healed in the Aura, this can make for a very dangerous situation.

Let's start with steam: A steam bath, sweat lodge, or even hot springs will assist with this, when one does it consciously - asking for assistance in closing holes in the Aura while doing one of these.

Himalayan Pink Salt in the bath can also help to clear the Aura.

Many people go to Healers to get help with this. A Shaman can also help, as can Reiki.

Stones can help, when you do a full body layout or grid with stones on you and around you. My Chakra Orgonite are perfect for this.

These can also help to open, clear, balance, and heal blockages in each Chakra. But enough about me!

Burying oneself in the Earth (face exposed, of course!), can assist with healing the Aura, or even a mud bath. Dig down 2 feet into the Earth and take dirt from there to use. Or buy a natural mud product.

Use cleansing herbs in the bath, or to smudge with, including: Sage, Cedar, Juniper, Rosemary, Palo Santo Wood, Frankincense, and Blessed Thistle. And smudge a lot! Smudge after the mud bath, Pink Salt bath, Steam bath, Hot Springs, or Sweat Lodge. Rinse the old off of you afterwards. Find the nooks and crannies of your body that can hold on to the energies of others, and cleanse deeply there. I recommend lavender or Himalayan pink salt soap for this purpose. And then smudge afterwards.

Smudging alone is not enough. Some deep work is needed to close holes in the Aura, and they won't close unless you have done the healing work beforehand. We have to first heal the holes on the inside of us, to be able to close the holes in the Aura.

One more thought: Afterwards, when we indulge in non-healthy behaviours, it can reopen these holes, if we are not careful. Keeping to a healthy diet, finding and following our bliss, regular cleansing and smudging, and laughter, are just some of the ways that we can stay on a healthy path afterwards.

I want to close by reminding you of just how much you are loved by the Universe. Your Angels are always, always, surrounding you and will assist you anytime you ask them to do so.

I also want to encourage you to love yourself and to believe in yourself, so that you can get out there and become the best you that you can be!

With love, and in gratitude,

Your blog posts always speak to me in a big way, but I really love the synchronicity of Snake winding its way into your post (and back into my life) and holes, too, as I have been filling holes in the yard that my puppy digs and also working on exploring and releasing damage from childhood and beyond at this time. I love your style of writing and I hope that someday you share your wisdom through a book that we could savor and hold in our hands and treasure. Bless you, friend! Thanks again.... <3

Thank you so much Brenda!
I appreciate the validation, also. This subject came to me last night, and by morning, I knew I had to write about it. That's when all the other pieces began falling into place, all the different kinds of holes.... Which made me realize that this may have been what the snake hole was all about, the whole time! :)
May we all fill our holes with love!
I am writing a book, the same one I've been working on for the past 5 years, only now I'm determined to get 'er done! Stay tuned!
Sending love, I really appreciate you! <3
